CropMaxx

A key business in the Westlock County North Sky Business Park, CropMaxx Inc. has served agricultural producers in the region for more than two decades. With its cutting-edge product line that exceeds the offerings of many other suppliers in Western Canada, the locally owned, independent ag retailer has a loyal customer base that values the personalized treatment and vast product portfolio CropMaxx is known for.

“We’re not a multinational conglomerate that has red tape”, says Owner, Jason Slupek. “We can make decisions for our clients on the spot.” With a nimble business model and dynamic creativity, the company’s team of seven full-time employees and various seasonal staff commit to offering innovative agriculture solutions.

CropMaxx Inc. provides local and independent agronomic advice to maximize crop production. “Our customers keep coming back each time a new issue arises,” adds Slupek. A full line of, dry and liquid fertilizer, crop protection products, canola and forage seed and custom application equipment support producers with unique items they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

Slupek finds that their success really comes down to the sense of community in the area and among the staff. “All of us have grown up within a half hour of the site – we have a strong sense of community, and that matters. We don’t have to chase business here in the North Sky Business Park, and we’ve been able to expand because of it.”

CropMaxx Inc. has grown to include a seasonal satellite site in Alcomdale to meet demands for dry fertilizer, as well as a new facility in Fort Vermillion for full-service retail in the North. Slupek sees opportunities for other services in the Westlock County North Sky Business Park—to complement existing businesses and to build a niche in the large regional trading area.
